My lifelong passion is fiction, both reading and writing. I've written numerous essays, stories, and poems, and I've taken a couple solid, if unsuccessful, cracks at a novel. Most of my work is some flavor of fantasy, often with a dark edge. By day I'm an academic reference librarian, and I've spent most of my life acquiring skills more appropriate for the 19th century than the 20th 21st. Born and raised in Seattle, I've traveled around here and there and am currently exploring the South.
